Infiniti no longer the bridesmaid

At last!  Relief was the main feeling when Derek Willis's Infiniti finally got her head in front at Leicester today under a determined ride from leading apprentice Hollie Doyle.  Infiniti is a lovely filly who had been second no less than four times and so it was a great thrill when she finally got her head in front.  As this was a claimer it was inevitable that someone would snap her up and she has now left the yard.  She has been a good sort for us and we wish her new connections the best of luck with her.  Well done to owner Derek Willis, the owner of Infiniti's relative Serious Attitude who ran in the same colours.

Fabulous win for veteran Mirza

Chris and Lesley Mills' Mirza won his eleventh race at Leicester this afternoon, taking his career earnings of over £250,000.  Everyone is thrilled to bits for Mirza who is a real character and has given everyone concerned such fun over his seven year racing career.  It is great for Chris and Lesley who are great supporters of the yard and bred Mirza from their first star horse the Group 2 and multiple Group 3 winning Millyant.  They have bred many other good horses including Listed and Group 3 winner Miss Anabaa and talented Listed winner Minalisa, but few will have given them so much fun as nine year old Mirza (pictured right ridden by Robbie Mills), who has run all over the world with enormous credit.  If he remains fit and well, he will stay in training next year.  Woo hoo!  Go Mirza!
