Bahia Star breaks her maiden

This half sister to five winners including Listed placed Brioniya and Group 2 winner Beshaayir broke her maiden on Saturday at Brighton with her first win off her first run this year as a three year old. She was up in trip from last year and relished the conditions storming through in the final furlong to win by over two lengths. Hopefully the Handicapper won't be too harsh!

Congratulations to BB Bloodstock on their first homebred winner. Think it might have been quite an emotional moment - hey Lynn? We have the next half sister lining up, Luna Breeze and hopefully many more successes to come from both fillies as the season progresses. We'd love to see them follow in their dam's footsteps, Bahia Breeze, also trained by Rae.

Thanks Bob!

We heard yesterday that one of our lovely owners made a generous donation to Racing Welfare. All of us who work in the industry recognise the fantastic work they do in supporting racing staff. As a charity they rely heavily on donations like this, so thank you Bob Goodes for your  generosity.

Happy Retirement Steve

All good things come to an end and we are sorry to say that our Head Lad of 8 years, Steve Lodge, who originally worked for Rae back in 1998 under the legendary John Wilsoncroft has decided to retire and move to Diss with his partner Megan. Our heartfelt thanks to Steve for all his hard work over the years and we wish him a long and happy retirement.

Farewell Charlie

A service of Thanksgiving was held for Charlie Guest yesterday at All Saints Church in Newmarket. It was attended by close members of the family who felt it was a good send-off under the current circumstances.

We look forward to organising a Memorial Race in the summer when everyone who would like to can attend and celebrate Charlie’s life in a fitting manner.
