A hat trick for Rosa Gold

ROSA GOLD wins three on the bounce within 18 days. She has been very well at home and has come out of her races so well. This was her first time at a mile and a quarter and it looks like she could go further. Despite the undulating track, which not all horses like, and a fair few traffic problems, once she saw daylight in front of her she soon put daylight behind her! Her owner/breeder Eamonn Duggan was there to cheer her on. It looks like she is only just getting started!

Poets Dance gets her second win ..

... this time in a handicap at Yarmouth today. She has been running a bit freely in the early stages of her races and Rae said that if she could just settle a bit better she would win. He was right as usual. Owner/breeder Joyce Wallsgrove was there to enjoy the moment. Pat Cosgrave seems to work well with this filly and hopefully can take her back up into black type territory. Congratulations to Reece who looks after her at home. She doesn't like everyone but they have a good relationship.

They just keep coming

ROSA GOLD made it four from four for the yard last night at Thirsk getting her second win within a week of the first. She is still running a little green but is progressing nicely and will no doubt go north in the handicap.

Stefano Cherchi got the ride again and seems to get on well with this homebred filly out of a black type mare, Rosa Grace, Rae trained for owner/breeder Eamonn Duggan. Rae and the team are flying at the moment. Let's keep it going!

Three from three this week

Three from three! CAPLA BERRY finished off the week very nicely at Doncaster yesterday. She was in stronger company but still managed to make it look relatively easy; her and Pat Cosgrave are forming a nice partnership. It was noted that the wind would have made it hard work but having got cover early on this progressive filly burst out at the 3 furlong marker and cruised her way to the front keeping on nicely. She's very perky this morning and obviously enjoying her success.

It should be noted that the groom Lauren Hall is responsible for all three winners this week. Not bad Lauren!!

It's another double!

Another good day at the office yesterday Rae! We had a win at Doncaster with SQUELCH owned by Purple & Yellow (Mr Derek Willis). This was her second win on the bounce and first time at 1m 4f. The Jockey Rob Hornby reckons she will get further so lots of options to play with going forward.

We also had a winner at Leicester with ROSA GOLD who was newly handicapped. She missed the start having to contend with no stalls and remained at the back of the pack for much of the race before cruising her way to the front for the last furlong and staying on nicely. Congratulations to owner/breeder Eamonn Dougan.

It was a good day for Lauren Hall who looks after both these fillies'. Sadly she couldn't be in two places at once and Adrian Stewart stepped in to look after Squelch for the day.
