Hot list

Look where we ended up this week on the Racing Post's HOTTEST TRAINERS list. Very proud of our team here at Rae Guest Racing.

Kachumba gets her first win

After five runs on the all-weather over the winter, Kachumber finally got her toes stuck into the turf and liked it; winning the 3:00PM at Brighton yesterday. She responded well when Sebastian Woods asked her to take on the leaders hitting the front a furlong out and staying on well. We are very pleased with this improving filly who has taken a while to come to hand. Congratulations to our patient owners The Storm Again Syndicate.

The sun is out

Perfect blue skies over Newmarket this morning ahead of today's 2000 Guineas. We have our veteran MIRZA running in the Palace House Stakes at 2:20 today so we wish owner/breeder Chris Mills good luck ahead of the race. While Mirza gets his business head on the two year olds were enjoying the sun on their backs and a pick of grass after morning exercise.

He's getting better and better

Salt Whistle Bay put in a professional performance yesterday to win the feature race at Great Yarmouth. He has definitely matured since last season and as Rae said at the racecourse, "he had a good winter's break and has come back bigger and stronger this year".

Thank you to jockey Martin Harley for giving him a great ride. Well done to all connections and the team at Rae Guest Racing especially Bheru Singh who looks after him at home and was there to lead him up.

A celebratory pirouette

Dance Legend obviously learnt a lot from her first run on the all weather two months ago. This time on the turf at Ripon on Saturday, she showed she has improved from the experience winning by a convincing length and three quarters. Rae trained her dam Syvilla to win and be placed second in the Listed Hoppings Stakes in 2009 so we have high hopes for her final foal from the first crop of Camelot.  Congratulations to owner/breeder Tim Cooper; she holds a special significance for him.
