Headline News, a filly bought as one of three by the Chestnuts Partnership five years ago, gave her owners even more to cheer about yesterday evening at Kempton when finishing placed in the Wildflower Stakes Listed Race to earn yet more ever precious black type.

Headline News has been a loyal servant for the yard and has done her owners proud every time she has run.  She is due to be sold at Tattersalls on Monday afternoon and hopefully a successful future in the paddocks now beckons.

Our first 2016 syndicate ('the Reprobates') sold out, leaving some people disappointed, and we never like to disappoint! So we are going again with a similar three horse ownership option.  The basic model is the same with three yearlings to be bought at Tattersalls sales on Monday.   Rae will be looking for well bred fillies who fit the bill and buyers for 1/4 shares at around £10,000 plus £1,500 per month.  Figures quoted exclude VAT which is payable in addition but will be recoverable.  This is a great way of spreading your risk by sharing ownership in three horses instead of one following a tried and tested winning model.   Please give Rae a call on 07711 301095 to find out more.  Could be a great Christmas present!

Khismet back to winning ways

Khismet, owned jointly between Brook Stud, Emma O'Gorman and Rae, added to her winning tally today when returning to the scene of her initial racecourse success.

The two year old by Kheleyf broke her maiden tag on only her second start; when beating the odds-on favourite at Wolverhampton, before being upped to Listed class for her next outing.

Returning to Wolverhampton today, the well built filly - who obviously has plenty of potential - pressed the leader through the early stages of the race before taking up the running two furlongs from home. Jim Crowley then urged her on and she responded readily to pull clear before the final furlong and win comfortably by 1 3/4 lengths from her nearest pursuer.
