The first of many good landings

The Eagle's Nest made a very good job of his first run with the yard winning the Handicap at Chelmsford City yesterday.  The prize pot also came with a nice little extra bonus for the owners from the ROA Owner's Jackpot. The gelding was a bit keen in the early stages but Martin Harley managed to get him settled behind the leaders before pulling him out wide after the 2 furlong marker. Never looked back from there, taking the lead 150 yards from the finish.

The Eagle Has Landed Syndicate bought The Eagle's Nest a few weeks ago at Tattersalls Autumn HIT Sales and have certainly got off to a good start. He has settled in nicely at Chestnut Tree Stables and gets on well with his rider Charlotte Clayton who is also our Travelling Head Lass.
